Odeal Embraces the Moment with For A Good Time…

British-Nigerian R&B star Odeal drops a breezy, sun-soaked 7-track EP that celebrates connection, spontaneity, and living in the moment — featuring a standout collaboration with Jorja Smith.

On July 31, 2026, Odeal released For A Good Time…, a tight seven-track EP that feels like the soundtrack to a perfect summer night. The British-Nigerian singer (born Hillary Dennis Udanoh) continues his rapid rise with a project that leans into lighter, more carefree energy while staying true to the soulful Afro-R&B sound that has earned him two MOBO Awards, a BET nomination, and a growing global following. Recorded between Medellín, Los Angeles, and London, the EP captures the influence of place and movement that Odeal has spoken about as central to his creative process. Tracklist 1. Rush 2. Get Down 3. Bluey Vitton 4. Coming Home (feat. Jorja Smith) 5. After The Club 6. Love n Hate 7. Trying Things The project opens with the jazzy, melodic “Rush” and moves through groovy, dancefloor-ready moments like “Get Down” and the deep-house-tinged “Bluey Vitton.” The emotional centrepiece is “Coming Home,” a collaboration with Jorja Smith that brings warmth and vulnerability. Later tracks such as “After The Club,” “Love n Hate,” and “Trying Things” explore love, trust, and the uncertainty that comes with both — keeping the intimate songwriting that has become Odeal’s signature. For A Good Time… arrives after a strong run that included the well-received The Summer That Saved Me and The Fall That Saved Us EPs, sold-out shows (including London’s O2 Academy Brixton), appearances on Later… with Jools Holland and NPR’s Tiny Desk, and a high-profile feature with Stormzy on “24 Hours.” With more than 5.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, Odeal has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting voices in modern Afro-R&B and alternative R&B. This EP feels like a deliberate shift toward joy and presence — less introspection, more living in the moment. For fans of the new wave of UK-based Afrobeats and R&B talent, it’s another confident step forward from an artist who keeps expanding his sound without losing the soul.
